How Saudi tech pay is reported here

Salary data on KSA.ai is contributed anonymously by people working in Saudi Arabia's technology sector and shown only in aggregate. Figures are in Saudi riyals. Contributing your own package unlocks the full dataset for twelve months.

We separate the parts of a package

Offers in the Kingdom are commonly quoted as a base salary plus allowances, so a base-only number understates what someone actually receives. Each report here records base pay, housing allowance and transport allowance separately, along with any thirteenth-month payment, annual bonus, equity and signing bonus, and combines them into an annualised total you can compare across employers.

Reports also record whether the contributor is a Saudi national or an expatriate, because packages for the two are often structured differently — and because a salary dataset that could not tell them apart would mislead both.

What you can and cannot see

Aggregates appear only once enough reports exist for a company, role and city combination that no individual could be identified from them. Below that threshold you will see a count of reports, not a figure. This is deliberate: a dataset people trust with their own numbers has to protect them.

One external reference point is published by the government: localised communications and IT roles carry a minimum of SAR 7,000 a month for specialised positions and SAR 5,000 for technical ones. Everything above that floor is what this dataset exists to reveal.

Why contribute

There is no free, credible, riyal-denominated salary dataset for Saudi technology roles broken down by company and seniority. The numbers that dominate search results are unverified estimates. Every report added here — including yours — is what replaces them.

How to read these figures

Reports are self-submitted and moderated but not independently verified. Use aggregates as a reference for negotiation, not as a guarantee of what any employer will offer.
